1st day / Arrival Vienna

Arrive in Vienna. Meet your tour manager, transfer to your hotel, and check-in.

Welcome to Vienna - the capital of Austria!

Vienna - now included in UNESCO's list of world heritage sites due to its unique appearance. The historic center is rich in architectural ensembles, with baroque castles and gardens and the late 19th century Ringstraße lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks. Many of the great classical composers including Strauss, Mozart, Schubert, Haydn, Beethoven lived and worked here for at least part of their lives and since the 16th century, Vienna has been universally acknowledged to be the musical capital of Europe.

2nd day / Vienna

Breakfast.

Start the day with a guided tour of Vienna (focusing on the great composers). You will see the historical center, St. Stephan's Cathedral, the Karlskirche, the State Opera, the Hofburg and the gardens of Schönbrunn.

After lunch, a visit to the "House of Music"

Spread out over several floors, visitors can feel, see and listen to music - a truly unique experience that you won't want to miss.

HAUS DER MUSIK is an interactive discovery museum located in the heart of Vienna's first district, nestled between St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera. A host of interactive installations playfully foster openness to new things, and promote understanding and enthusiasm in approaching music.

Conduct the Vienna Philharmonic from a virtual conductor's podium, and the musicians on the screen will tell you if you are up to par. Journey back in time to see the great composers, such as Mozart, Strauß or Beethoven. Experience the highlights from the Vienna Philharmonic's world-famous New Year's Concert year round in the best sound and picture quality.

3rd day / Vienna

Breakfast.

Late morning: Excursion to Eisenstadt

You'll visit Esterházy Palace and the Haydn Church. The Haydnsaal in the Esterhazy Palace was built in mid 17th century and has been of great importance in music history since the 18th century. It has great acoustics and as the name suggests, the composer Joseph Haydn worked here for more than 30 years and many of his symphonies were performed here for the first time.

Evening concert in Eisenstadt or the surrounding area.

Dinner at a local restaurant and transfer back to Vienna.

4th day / Vienna - Rosenburg - Linz

Breakfast and check-out.

On your way to Linz, you'll stop at the impressive renaissance castle at Rosenburg for a tour including a show with birds of prey and a visit to the arms museum.

Continue to Linz to your hotel. Check-in.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

5th day / Linz

Breakfast.

After breakfast enjoy a tour of the city that includes a one way railway ticket to the Pöstlingberg.

The most popular tourist attraction of the provincial capital Linz, the Grotto Railway was built in 1906 in one of the seven fortification towers constructed on the Pöstlingberg by Emperor Maximilian. A trip on the Pöstlingberg Grotto Railway opens up a fairy tale world for old and young. Let yourself be spirited away into a fantasy world and travel on the Dragon Train through the Land of Dwarves against the backdrop of historic Linz.

Return to the city on your own bus.

After lunch, an excursion to and tour of the impressive St. Florian abbey (Bruckner's home church).

St. Florian is one of the oldest Augustinian monasteries in the world, where the Augustinian Rule continues to be observed.
The monastery of St. Florian possesses two organs, the larger of which is known as the Bruckner Organ, with over 7000 organ pipes. It was played by the composer and organist Anton Bruckner (1824-96), a former choirboy at the monastery, who is buried beneath the organ inside the church.

Return back to Linz for dinner and your evening concert.

6th day / Linz - Regensburg -Nuremberg

You'll visit the beautiful medieval city of Regensburg and take a tour of the city.
