Salzburg - is located in the Salzach River Valley. Unique during the Holy Empire,
it was called the northern Rome, due to the importance of the Prince Archbishops
and the Baroque. Salzburg's reputation is based on a living musical
tradition.
Its beauty and vibrant musical life have made Salzburg one of Europe's foremost
cultural centres.

2nd day / Salzburg
Breakfast.
Meet a licensed English speaking guide and start a full day sightseeing tour in
Salzburg with the highlights of the Sound of Music story. Your guide will show you
the scenery of the movie like Felsenreitschule, Kapitelplatz or
Residenzplatz.
Lunch on your own
In the afternoon continue your sightseeing tour with a horse drawn
carriage-ride.
Afterwards visit the church of the Nonnberg abbey. (The abbey is not open to the
public.) As well visit the fortress and St. Peter's Cemetery.
Dinner under your own arrangement.
3rd day / Salzburg
Breakfast at your accommodation
Today you will have a guided tour through Hellbrunn castle with the trick
fountains.
Lunch on your own
In the afternoon visit Frohnburg Palace (outside) Leopoldskron Palace (outside) and
Schloss Anif (outside).
Sound of music dinner at Sternbräu.
Show program centred around the internationally acclaimed film 'The Sound of
Music'. Video and live performance featuring the movie's most popular songs. The
event is held in English and can be combined with dinner.
4th day / Salzburg
Breakfast.
Start your day with an excursion to Hitler's Eagles Nest.
Lunch on your own
Transfer back via Mellweg in Schellenberg/Bavaria. Have some free time there.
Dinner under your own arrangement.
5th day / Salzburg
Breakfast at your accommodation
Today you will travel to the Lakes Region. Take a boat trip from St. Gilgen to St.
Wolfgang and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In St. Wolfgang take the cog train up
to
the Schafberg.
Lunch on your own.
Transfer back to Salzburg. Make a stop at the Wedding church in Mondsee.
Dinner under your own arrangement.
6th Day / Salzburg
Breakfast at your accommodation
Transfer to Werfen. Visit the Ice Caves.
Lunch on your own.
Have some free time in the alpine meadow of Gschandtanger, where the Picnic Scene
was shot.

7th Day / Salzburg

Day at leisure or optional visit the Salt Mines of Hallein
Explore the world of the "white gold" at Salzburg Salt mines
visit the salt mine of Hallein, where already Celtic tribes have mined. Salt has
been the most important source of income for the Salzburg Prince-Archbishops. The
collection of the Keltenmuseum in Hallein unveils the importance with arte-facts
from the Celtic period to the Habsburgs. Slide down with great fun, take a boat on
the salt lake and explore some other.

The Mozart dinner is unique in Salzburg and all over the world. Imagine the
experience of living in Mozart's Salzburg with all its colourful costumes and its
culinary joys. Enjoy the most popular compositions by W.A. Mozart by candlelight in
stylish ambiance of the Stiftskeller St. Peter restaurant. Music is played by
Salzburg artists in historic costumes and a multiple -course dinner is served,
prepared as it was in Mozart's times.
